***NOTICE***

Dear Prince Albert School Community,

On January 25, 2012, there was a fire at the home of a family in our school community. Please know that nobody was injured in the fire. Unfortunately, the family will not be able to return to their home until after significant reconstruction.

At school today, we discussed the fire in an age appropriate manner in individual classrooms. Our goal is to make students feel safe and comfortable as they learn this unsettling news. Students have responded with a great deal of care and compassion and in the coming days, we will turn our attention to how we can offer our support to thefamily.  A package of essential items was dropped off to the family today as an expression of concern and care from our school community.

We want to thank the bus driver and student involved in the discovery of the fire for their fast action and their concern for everyone’s safety.  The courage and care they demonstrated is truly commendable.

We thank everyone for their outpouring of support. Please know we are in communication with the family and will share any information about how we can all work together to help the family during this difficult time.

Help Give Hockey Sticks A New Life

brokenhockeysticksHave you got any broken hockey sticks?  Send them to Mr. DiCrescenzo at the school.  He'll make sure they get reused as shlockey sticks.  He will make sure that they are safe and ready to use.  It doesn't matter if they are wood, fiberglass or composite.
